It was so windy that day, it was the officially the last day of Cherry Blossom since after that wind gust nothing was left in the trees. It was an astonishing scenery!

I took a lots of photos during the Sakura blooming, but I didn’t want to have 20 post about it, so here’s one huge post about all the photos I haven’t post so far. There’s some shots from Kichijoji, Ueno and Yoyogi, let see if you know Tokyo park’s well enough to recognized them all. Enjoy!

Today me and my friends from Montreal, Ika & Jess, went biking and rollerblading around the Kanda Gawa and Nakano residential area. We brought two camera, the wide angle shoots are film with my Tokina 11-16 hook on the D90 and all the rest are from their KODAK Zi8 pocket cam. All the editing was done by Ika, and I have to say he did a fawking good job! They are here only for a few more days and you should go check out their blog about their trip in Tokyo if you haven’t done so yet.

I took those shoot earlier last week so the Sakura were not in full bloom. I might go out again Tomorrow and re-shoot those HDR if I have time. Still I like the result, I think the sky turn out great.

Today the flowers in the sakura trees started to lose their petals. Even if it kinda sad that in a few days they will be all gone, it was a beautiful scenery to witness. The petals were falling on the ground like snow in the winter. A lot of people were walking outside to enjoy the last few moments of hanami.

I found this great video today called Soothing Glimpses of Tokyo from Sugoi on Vimeo. I really can’t wait for hanami season now!
“I love Japan, this was my 5th time there. I was there for a month and enjoyed it immensely as always. I stayed with my awesome Japanese friends! Tokyo is amazing and I find new places to explore every time I’m there. There are lovely places to relax and other places that excite the senses! It’s a wonderful mix of it’s ancient past & the future the rest of world will see in it’s own time.
Enjoy ” -Sugoi
