I don’t think I will shoot HDR at night when there is cloud anymore, they have a very weird effects on long exposure Shoots. What do you guys think? Do you like the super dramatic effect they have on the photos?
Influenced by the positive feedback I got from the my “view from my roof” photos, I decided to bring my camera and tripod to the residential streets of Nakano, my neighborhood. There, I tried to capture the feel of Tokyo’s small streets. If you come from North America you would be inclined to think that they look more like alleyways rather than streets, but that’s what I love about them. Every house is unique, people leave their potted plants outside, their bicycles unlocked and they let their laundry hang out everywhere. Nowhere in the world have i ever even such respect for other people’s belongings.
Shinjuku Skyscraper District is basically nine block perfectly align with not many restaurants or shops. Only hotel and office building. It very small and I would not walk trough it so often if it wasn’t right between Shinjuku station and my place. Very clean and nice spot though, just not much to do here.
