I don’t think I will shoot HDR at night when there is cloud anymore, they have a very weird effects on long exposure Shoots. What do you guys think? Do you like the super dramatic effect they have on the photos?
Hi, those hdr night shots are really well done!!their mood seems to be taken by some j horror movie!!i love the way you did them!
Can i ask you how many exposure (and how much +- exposure of every shot) did you take for a single hdr and what application did you use for doing them?
I use photomatix pro, usually with 3 exposure shots (-1,0,+1) but when i combine them in photomatix, they are a bit blurred (even if i use a tripod for taking shots) and on night shots, sky it’s kinda grainy….any help?

I take 3 shoots too, but I set them at -2 0 +2 . Also I used a remote, so maybe that could fix your blur issue, make sure that you check the “align by matching feature” option in photomatix. As for the grain, do you shoot at iso200 ( or 100 depending on your cam )
All my HDR are taken with my Tokina 11-16 f2.8, so I take all the photos at f5.6 iso200 and let the shutter do the rest.
Good luck with your HDRs!
